This book has great information on raising a puppy. This book gives a good overview of the monks' philosophy on life with our dogs, as well as many great pointers for specific training situations. In a time when attitudes toward dog training are so many and varied, I found I could buy most of what the monks are telling readers here. They focus on creating a strong and special bond with your dog, but in a way that emphasizes that you are the alpha. From the anecdotes of their experiences training other people's dogs with behavioral issues, it seems their methods can meet with great success.
